Who is responsible
Nostedt is operated by Cameron Nostedt in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Cameron is responsible for privacy questions relating to nostedt.com and enquiries made through its contact links. Email cam@nostedt.com to ask a question or make a privacy request. This policy covers the public marketing website and related enquiries. Separate client systems, applications and project data may require additional notices or agreements.
Information you choose to share
If you email or call, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, business details, project requirements, timing and budget. The website’s enquiry buttons open a draft in your email app; opening a draft does not submit its contents to Nostedt. We receive it when you send it. Please avoid including passwords or unnecessary sensitive information in an initial enquiry.
How we use enquiry information
We use your information to respond, understand the work you need, prepare proposals, communicate about a project and maintain relevant business records. We may also use information to address misuse, resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. Sending an enquiry is not a newsletter subscription. If a new use requires consent, we will explain that use and request consent as required.
Website delivery and technical information
Cloudflare delivers and protects this website. Requests may involve IP addresses, requested URLs, browser and device information, timestamps and security or traffic data. We may review hosting traffic summaries to understand site use and reliability. This processing supports delivery, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its description of service data handling.
Cookies, storage and fonts
The site stores a small sessionStorage flag named nostedt-intro-seen in your browser so the branded intro does not replay on every page. It is not sent to Nostedt by the intro code and does not contain your contact details. Session storage normally lasts for the tab’s browsing session and can be removed through your browser controls. The public site does not currently include advertising pixels or a standalone visitor-analytics script. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar technologies when security features require them. Blocking storage may affect those features; the intro itself is skipped if session storage is unavailable.
Google Fonts and external links
Pages request fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google’s servers to obtain them, which exposes connection information such as your IP address and browser request details. See Google’s privacy policy. Links to client sites, social platforms and other external services take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Service providers and disclosure
Hosting and communications providers process information as needed to deliver their services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. We do not sell enquiry information. Providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of those jurisdictions. Contact us if you need more information about the providers relevant to your enquiry or project.
Retention and protection
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry or client relationship, relevant business records and applicable legal requirements. The appropriate period depends on the record and purpose. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, including HTTPS for website delivery and limiting access to people and providers who need it. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, raise a concern, or request deletion or withdrawal of consent where applicable. Some records may need to be retained for legal or legitimate business reasons; we will explain applicable limits. We may need to verify your identity before acting and will respond within the time required by applicable law. Withdrawing information needed for a project may limit the services we can provide. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about a privacy concern.
Changes to this policy
The date below identifies the current version. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide further notice or obtain consent where required. Questions can be sent to cam@nostedt.com.
